NEW JERSEY, INC.
ESTABLISHED 1936
THE ENTIRE CLUB WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF THE SPONSORS, VENDORS, EXHIBITORS AND SPECTATORS FOR MAKING OUR 2008 SHOW ANOTHER SUCCESS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL OF YOU NEXT YEAR!
The Garden State Cat Club was established in 1936 and affiliated with the Cat Fancier's Association, Inc.
Garden State is one of the oldest and most prestigious cat clubs in the country. With an inclusive membership of more than 80, it is also one of the largest. The club's annual show is consistently one of the country's largest from the standpoint of both total entries and champion class entries. The club has been particularly active in introducing new formats and educational features. In addition to the annual Garden State show, special benefits shows in support of CFA functions are often staged, generally under the name of Morris & Essex, Garden State's affiliated club.
The club is a non-profit educational organization…Members are actively involved in a variety of community service activities including presentations to schools, civic groups and other clubs for the purpose of educating the public regarding feline care, and to promote responsible pet ownership.
The club also cooperates closely with organizations in the monitoring of animal rights legislation and in support of organizations dedicated to the proper care of pets and control of the pet population.
At our monthly meetings, goods for shelters are collected and hand delivered by one of our members to locations throughout New Jersey.
